The Nomad Residence Permit offers a unique opportunity for individuals to legally reside in Malta while maintaining their employment in another country. This permit is available to individuals who are able to work remotely using telecommunication technologies and are not tied to a specific location. While the permit is already available to EU citizens, it is also open to individuals from third countries who would otherwise require a visa to travel to Malta. Digital nomads who take advantage
of this permit can enjoy the relaxed island lifestyle, network with other entrepreneurs, and immerse themselves in the local culture. The permit is initially issued for one year and can be renewed at the discretion of Residency Malta, provided that the applicant continues to meet the eligibility criteria.
