Malta Citizenship by Direct Investment

Who may apply?


Any Third-Country Nationals excluding nationals from the Islamic Republic of
Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of
Korea (North Korea) and all countries who are on the US travel ban.
Notwithstanding, individuals who are not nationals of the mentioned
countries, but reside, conduct any type of business or have significant ties and
connections with the above-mentioned countries are also excluded from
applying.

Requirements

To be considered for this program, you must meet certain eligibility criteria, including being at least 18 years old, having a clear criminal record, passing a rigorous due diligence process, not being from a sanctioned country, and meeting the minimum investment requirements of the program. If you invest a minimum of €600,000 and reside in Malta for 36 months, you may be eligible for citizenship. However, if you invest a minimum of €750,000 and reside in the country for 12 months, you may qualify for citizenship status more quickly. In addition to the investment, you must also purchase a residential property in Malta valued at a minimum of or lease a residence with an annual rental value of €16,000 and make a €10,000 donation to a Maltese organization approved by the Community Malta Agency.
